An ATM is a device that allows you to withdraw cash from your card or replenish it. The ATM also combines the following functions:
• Payment for mobile and landline services
• Loan repayment/deposit replenishment
• Payment to the budget (tax payments, transport, land and property taxes, administrative fines, state duties, etc.)
• Transfers to Halyk Bank payment cards (Cash-In acceptance)
• Transfers from a Halyk Bank card to any current account at Halyk Bank
• Withdrawal of cash sent by mobile phone number or code without a card
• Setting/changing your PIN code
• Disabling the “SMS Banking” service and much more.
• Payment for mobile and landline services

Every second ATM in Kazakhstan is an ATM of the Halyk Bank network. You can find the exact location of ATMs:

The daily cash withdrawal limit via ATMs is KZT 700,000 (seven hundred thousand tenge) or the equivalent in another currency; the amount can be increased to KZT 3,000,000 in the Halyk app.

Yes, if the ATM has a Cash-In function (card deposit), you can deposit money into your card.

The ATM does not accept banknotes that:

• are taped together;
• are torn or ripped;

PIN code for your card will be issued in an envelope at the Bank outlet when you receive your plastic card.
You can change your PIN using one of the following methods:
1. Change PIN in Halyk:
If you forgot your PIN or want to set a different one, use Halyk app:
• Open Halyk and choose the desired card
• Go to “PIN code”
• Choose “PIN code setup/change” and follow the instructions
• Confirm the PIN change with the code from SMS
Important! To activate the new PIN, insert the card into any Halyk Bank ATM and perform any transaction at the ATM.
2. Change PIN at Halyk Bank ATM:
• Insert the card and enter your current PIN
• Choose the “PIN code setup/change” option
• Enter your new PIN
• Confirm your new PIN
Done! The ATM will issue a receipt confirming successful PIN setup.

If you need a card urgently, you can re-issue your Halyk card within 5 minutes at any outlet of the bank, on the same service terms and conditions, and start using it immediately, the funds on your card will be available.

Important! To activate a new PIN code, insert the card into any Halyk ATM, and conduct any transaction at the ATM.
You can also wait for your retained card to be delivered to a bank outlet:
• Within 5 business days, you will receive SMS with the address of the outlet where you can pick up your card. The list of retained card delivery outlets in your city are available at the link below.
• Until you receive your card, you can continue to use your card, having previously removed the temporary blocking in Halyk app: choose the card you forgot at the ATM, in the “Settings” section disable the “Temporary blocking” option.
You can also remove the blocking by contacting the Call Center at 7111.
Once the card is unblocked and until you receive it, you can perform all transactions:
- Add the card to Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and pay with your smartphone.

At Halyk Bank ATMs, cash withdrawals are available in tenge and US dollars. In Baikonur, cash withdrawals in RUB are also available via the ATM.
Money can be withdrawn from a card in USD via a Bank outlet and ATMs (if this function is available).
When withdrawing an amount of USD 100,000 or more, or the equivalent in another currency, a large cash withdrawal order shall be placed. To prevent illegal financial transactions, additional information regarding the source of funds/accumulation of money in the customer's account and the planned intended use is required. Supporting documents may also be requested if necessary. We kindly ask for your understanding, as this requirement is standard practice for all banks in the Republic of Kazakhstan, established by the state regulator.

When withdrawing an amount of USD 100,000 or more, or the equivalent in another currency, a large cash withdrawal order shall be placed. Card transactions with Union Pay cards are being processed as usual. Cash withdrawals from ATMs of Russian banks and other card transactions with the Bank’s cards in sanctioned Banks are unavailable.
Currently, servicing of “MIR” cards in the Bank’s devices (POS terminals, ATMs) is unavailable.
As an alternative option, you can make an online transfer via SWIFT in the Halyk app to an account opened in the Bank of Russia.
Attention! Western Union has suspended sending/receiving transfers to/from Russia since 24 March, 2022. In case the recipient of money in Russia did not have time to receive the money sent from Kazakhstan before 24 March, 2022 (inclusive), the money will be returned to the sender without execution.
Card transactions with Union Pay cards are being processed as usual. Cash withdrawals from ATMs of Russian banks and other card transactions with the Bank’s cards in sanctioned Banks are unavailable.
