Transfer terms and conditions by phone number:
1. Who you can send a transfer to:
• The transfer is sent to the mobile number of a customer of any bank in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The recipient does not need to have a Halyk Bank card.
2. How the recipient will receive the funds:
• If the transfer is made to the mobile number of a Halyk Bank customer, the funds will be credited to the recipient's primary Halyk card*.
• If the recipient is not a Halyk Bank customer, they will receive an SMS message with a link to receive the transfer to a card of any bank in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. Is it compulsory for the recipient to have a Halyk Bank card?
• No, the recipient only needs to have a card from any bank in Kazakhstan to receive the transfer.
4. Additionally:
• If the amount is not delivered to the recipient, the amount will be returned automatically after 24 hours.
• You can cancel the transfer yourself within 24 hours of sending the money in the "Transfer Archive" section of the Halyk web version.
*Primary card - is chosen independently on the Home and is the card for receiving transfers by mobile number. "By default" the primary card is the most active one.

To send a transfer, you must visit a Halyk Bank outlet and provide identification*.
Required information for sending:
• Recipient's full name
• Transfer amount
• Transfer currency and recipient's country
*For non-residents – a document confirming registration with the authorized bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, rights of entry, exit, and stay of a non-resident individual on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, unless otherwise provided for by international treaties ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan (migration card, if the customer does not have another document confirming registration as provided for by the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan) **.
** Required only when sending/receiving transfers exceeding KZT 2,000,000, or in a foreign currency exceeding the equivalent of KZT 2,000,000, including by making several transactions (deals) in one calendar day in the form of a transfer by the customer without opening an account.
*** Western Union suspended sending/receiving transfers to/from Russia as of 24 March, 2022. In case the recipient of money in Russia did not have time to receive the money sent from Kazakhstan before 24 March, 2022 (inclusive), the money will be returned to the sender without execution.
Required information for sending:

• Control number of the money transfer (10-digit code)
• Full name of the sender
• Transfer amount
• Transfer currency and the country from which the transfer was sent

Western Union has suspended sending/receiving transfers to/from Russia as of 24 March, 2022. In case the recipient of money in Russia did not have time to receive the money sent from Kazakhstan before 24 March, 2022 (inclusive), the money will be returned to the sender without execution.

• USD 2,500 (or the equivalent in KZT) is the maximum amount per single transfer
• USD 10,000 (or the equivalent in KZT) is the maximum amount of transfers per day
• USD 25,000 (or the equivalent in KZT) is the maximum amount of transfers per month
• no more than 10 transfers per month (sending/receiving)
• senders/recipients shall be individuals (residents/non-residents) over the age of 18
• USD 2,500 (or the equivalent in KZT) is the maximum amount per single transfer
• USD 10,000 (or the equivalent in KZT) is the maximum amount of transfers per day
• USD 25,000 (or the equivalent in KZT) is the maximum amount of transfers per month
• no more than 10 transfers per month (sending/receiving)
• senders/recipients shall be individuals (residents/non-residents) over the age of 18
To send a transfer via Western Union at a Bank branch, you shall provide:
• a valid photo ID of the sender
• recipient details (full name, country, city)
For non-residents – for transactions exceeding KZT 2 million/equivalent:
• a document issued by the migration service of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

To receive a Western Union transfer at a Bank outlet, you shall provide:
• a valid photo ID of the recipient
• the transfer amount, currency, and full name of the sender

Cancellation of a transfer is possible only on the same day, according to Astana time, and only unpaid Western Union transfers can be revoked/canceled.
To revoke/cancel a Western Union transfer, you need to:
1. In your Halyk personal account, in the “Transfer Archive,” find the transfer.
2. Choose the “Transfer revocation” or “Transfer cancellation” option and the account for crediting.
3. Confirm the operation with the code received via SMS.
In case of a successful revocation/cancellation of the transfer, the amount will be credited to the specified customer account.
When revoking a transfer, the Western Union fee is non-refundable.
To revoke/cancel a Western Union transfer, you need to:
1. In your Halyk personal account, in the “Transfer Archive,” find the transfer.
2. Choose the “Transfer revocation” or “Transfer cancellation” option and the account for crediting.
3. Confirm the operation with the code received via SMS.

2. In addition to the transfer fee, Western Union may earn income on exchange rate differences if the payout currency differs from the transfer sending currency. When choosing a money transfer system, pay attention not only to the fee but also to the exchange rate of the transaction. Transfer fees and exchange rates may vary depending on the transfer system, channel, and location where the service is provided, based on a number of factors. Fees and rates are subject to change without prior notice.
2. In addition to the transfer fee, Western Union may earn income on exchange rate differences if the payout currency differs from the transfer sending currency. When choosing a money transfer system, pay attention not only to the fee but also to the exchange rate of the transaction. Dear customers of Halyk Bank JSC, in order to prevent fraudulent money transfer operations, we ask you to follow a few simple security measures:
1. When making transfers, do not disclose transfer details to third parties (either partially or completely, including the transfer number).
2. Be careful when processing a transfer, make sure that no one can overhear/see the transfer information, as fraudsters may forge documents to receive the transfer using this information. Keep transfer details in a place inaccessible to third parties.
3. Avoid sending transfers to unfamiliar individuals. Remember that in this case you may become a victim of fraud. Send funds to people you know and trust.
4. If you receive a request from an unfamiliar person to provide a copy of the transfer request or other information about the transaction – immediately stop communicating with this person, as this is likely an attempt to defraud you. Money transfers, under no circumstances, can be used as proof of solvency.
5. Do not send money transfers long before they are to be received, for example, when planning a trip abroad. Money transfer services allow you to receive a transfer within 10-15 minutes.
6. Do not respond to calls/emails/SMS messages received from a person claiming to be from the Bank regarding the need to send/receive a transfer. The Bank does not call customers or send messages/SMS about sending/receiving a transfer.
7. Do not respond to calls/emails/SMS messages informing you that you have won a lottery/prize, for which you need to send a certain amount of money to process, pay taxes, customs duties, etc.
