IPO (Initial Public Offering) is an initial public offering of a company’s securities to an unlimited number of investors by offering shares on the stock exchange. The company becomes public, its accounts transparent and its shares available to a wide range of retail investors owing to an IPO. There are two ways to make money on an IPO, just like on other publicly traded stocks:
- by receiving dividends: an investor should buy shares and keep them in his/her portfolio in order to receive a dividend income
- on the rising share price: to earn this income, the stock must be sold at a higher price than it was bought.

An investor can cancel his/her bid to buy shares under the People’s IPO during book-building process. To cancel the order, the investor should go to the Transactions tab in the Invest section, find the bid in the Active and tap Cancel.
