Deposit guarantee
Every deposit is guaranteed by KDIF
Since 1999, Kazakhstan has had a special fund, Kazakhstan Deposit Insurance Fund JSC (KDIF). KDIF is here to guarantee deposits of individuals
All individual deposits in Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC are subject to compulsory guaranteeing. Guaranted amounts are:
20 million tenge – savings deposits in national currency
10 million tenge – cards, accounts and other deposits in national currency
5 million tenge – cards, accounts and deposits in foreign currency
If the depositor has 2 or more deposits at the same time in both tenge and foreign currency, the guarantee compensation is 20 million tenge
