How to start using the card?

Activate your card by setting a new/changing the current PIN code in one of the following ways:

1. Through Halyk mobile app:

  • Open Halyk and select the relevant card;
  • Go to "PIN code";
  • Select "Set/Change PIN code" and follow the instructions;
  • Confirm PIN code change with the SMS code.

2. Through an ATM:

  • Send an SMS with the text: EPIN **** (**** - last 4 digits of the card) to 7111. e.g. EPIN 1234;
  • You will receive an SMS with ePIN valid for 2 hours;
  • Insert your card into any Halyk Bank ATM and enter the received ePIN;
  • Select "Setup|Change PIN code" and set your PIN code at the ATM.

 Insert your card into any Halyk Bank ATM, enter the temporary EPIN code* or the newly set PIN code, and make any transaction at the ATM.

* You will receive a temporary EPIN code to your trusted number. The temporary EPIN code will be valid for 2 hours.

How to register in Halyk mobile app?
  1. download the app from Play Market, AppGallery for Android, or App Store for iOS (iPhone);
  2. open the app and click "Login/Register".
What to do if I entered the wrong PIN?

You have 5 attempts to enter the PIN; at the 6th time, the card is automatically blocked.

You can reset the PIN code attempts:

1. Through Halyk App:
• Select the card and go to "PIN code", select "Reset PIN code attempts";

2. Through the Contact Center:
• Call 7111 and provide 4 digits of the card.

How to replenish the card?

You can replenish* your card:

  • at Halyk Bank ATMs with Cash-In function;
  • in Halyk Bank payment terminals;
  • by card-to-card transfers via Halyk Homebank app;
  • by deposit-to-card transfer;
  • through other banks with the function of card-to-card transfers;
  • at any cash office of Halyk Bank outlets.

* Exception: You cannot replenish the card designated for welfare payments with cash or in any other way of crediting.

How to withdraw cash from the card?
  • through "Withdraw without card"* service in the "Transfers" section in the Halyk app, at any Halyk Bank ATM;
  • at Halyk Bank ATMs;
  • by scanning QR code.

* A withdrawal code is active within 24 hours; after 24 hours, the funds are automatically returned to the card.

How to pay by card?
  • to make payments in Halyk app;
  • in POS terminals of Halyk Bank and other second-tier banks;
  • in Halyk Bank POS terminals by scanning QR code;
  • contactless payment by smartphone without the internet (by adding the card to Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, or Google Pay).
Are there any fees for cash withdrawals at Halyk Bank ATMs?

For salaries, pensions, allowances, and social payments - KZT 0

For any other deposits of up to KZT 300,000 per month - KZT 0, for deposits of more than KZT 300,000 - 1% of the amount.

What are the limits for cash withdrawal on the card?

The daily limit for withdrawals from ATMs is KZT 700,000 (seven hundred thousand). The amount can be increased up to KZT 5,000,000 in Halyk app. Over KZT 5,000,000 at the Bank outlet.

Is there any service fee?
  • KZT 0 for the first year;
  • KZT 150 per month for subsequent years.

* The service fee of the cards for pensions/benefits/alimony – KZT 0 for all years.

How many cards can be issued?

No more than 3 active cards can be issued.

Card currency

The card is issued in 3 currencies - KZT*, USD, and EUR.

* The currency of the cards designated for benefits/alimony is KZT.

What to do if I forgot my card at an ATM?

Your card will be temporarily blocked if you forgot it at a Halyk Bank ATM*. Within 5 business days, you will receive an SMS with the address of the outlet to get your card back.

* If you forgot your card at another bank’s ATM, please contact the Bank's Call Center.

How to unblock the card?
  1. Go to Halyk > Cards > All accounts > Select a blocked card > Unblock it.
  2. Call 7111.
Would you like to open a Halyk Easy card for your child?

1. You can open a Halyk Easy card through Halyk app, which requires that

A parent:

  • Enter Halyk app;
  • Select Halyk Easy;
  • Enter the mobile number and IIN of your child;
  • A temporary password will be sent to your child's phone number via SMS to log in to Halyk app.

Your child should:

Install Halyk app;

Enter the temporary password and set a new password/code for the next login to the app.

2. Benefits of Halyk Easy card:

  • 6 to 16 years of age;
  • Making purchases with the card by scanning Halyk QR at Halyk Bank POS terminals;
  • Contactless payment with a smartphone without Internet (by adding the card to Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, or Google Pay);
  • No annual fee;
  • Bonuses on favorite categories* (movies, cafes, etc.).

3. Would you like to have your Halyk Easy card delivered?

A parent needs to:

  • Select Halyk Easy Digital in the "Accounts" section and click on "Order card" in Halyk app;
  • Enter the required information for the order;
  • Select the "Delivery" option;
  • Confirm the data and enter an SMS code. The card will be delivered to the parent by courier.

! Upon turning 16, your child will need to complete full registration to get access to all services of Halyk app.
