Halyk Launches Digital Consent Service
Spousal consent registration is now considerably simpler and more easily available.
A service for online spousal consent registration via Halyk mobile app was introduced by the Ministry of Justice in association with Halyk Bank and the Republican Chamber of Notaries.
“The first bank in Kazakhstan to include Digital Consent into its mobile app was Halyk. This eliminates the need for our customers to go to a notary and allows them to complete notarized documents in a matter of minutes from the convenience of their homes. Additionally, through using contemporary technology, this solution ensures data security and confidentiality”, according to Halyk Deputy CEO Nariman Mukushev.
A spousal consent is required to enter into a real estate sale and purchase transaction, mortgage, loan, etc.
To issue a digital consent, you need to:
- Open Halyk app
- Select “Public Services” and tap “Digital Notarized Consent”.
- Verify the spouse's information, select a region and a notary. Proceed to the video call with the notary.
- Confirm the document received, and you're done. The advantages of the online format include saving time and money associated with visiting a notary, and the availability of obtaining the consent at a time that is convenient for you, and the reliability of each transaction.
The digital consent is officially acknowledged and stored in the government information system, and appears automatically in “Digital Documents” in Halyk app.
The service is rendered without any charge. The bank does not charge any fees for generating and receiving the digital consent. Notaries already accept payment for their services.
It should be mentioned that the bank customers can currently access 57 different public service categories online using Halyk app. In total, these services have already been rendered around 32 million times.
