- First of all, on behalf of Halyk Bank, I would like to express my sincere and deepest condolences to the families and friends of the law enforcement officers and special security services killed during anti-terrorist operations. They fulfilled their professional duty to the very end.

The Bank's Management Board decided to write off all the loans issued by us for the victims, and additional KZT 5 million will be allocated to each victim's family. This is our civic duty. We believe that all leading financial institutions and companies of our country will follow our example.

In addition, on the instruction of Kassym-Zhomart Kemelevich Tokayev, Head of State, to stabilize the service of the second-tier banks of Kazakhstan, the Halyk Homebank mobile app started to operate. This was made possible with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the leadership of Bagdad Musin.

All this is dictated by concern for the interests of our citizens, who need to feel protected, including financially. In most regions, Halyk Bank has begun to stabilize the work of providing cash in ATMs, which are now being actively encashed with the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Taking into account the importance of customer access to financial services, the team of the Bank and the Ministry of Digital Development and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan is working to restore non-cash payments in the network of Halyk Bank POS terminals. At the moment, payments can be made:

• In supermarket chains (Magnum, Anvar, Dina hypermarket, Bekker, Yuzhny, etc.);
• Gas station network (KazMunayGaz, Sinoil, Qazaq Oil, etc.);
• In the network of large pharmacies (Europharma, Hippocrates, Sadykhan, etc.)

We are actively working to get the entire POS terminal network back up and running as soon as possible across all regions of Kazakhstan.

I would like to note that our depositors' money is a key priority for us. Depositors should not worry about the safety of their savings. At the moment there may be restrictions on receiving information due to unstable Internet. All data on deposits will also be available as soon as a stable connection is restored.

We would also like to remind you that already on January 7 you can use Onlinebank banking service for legal entities, providing entrepreneurs an opportunity to make payments within Halyk Bank’s 24/7 system for free on 7, 8, 9 January, including crediting of salaries.

Customers' interests have always been the most important value for our Bank, therefore Halyk Bank was the only bank that continued to work on 5 January in a number of regions of the country in the state of emergency in the interests of our customers. Thus, we demonstrated our solidarity with our citizens in this difficult time. We express our hope that in the nearest future we will return to our normal lives.

Remember that everything will get better, do not panic and do not react to provocative statements. Support each other, our President, and only together, acting in a well-coordinated and thoughtful manner, will we pass this hardship.
