Halyk reminder: the bank operates without any intermediaries
The country's largest bank response to emerging financial security concerns
Serious fraud has become increasingly frequent in the area of business lending. Swindlers offer small- and medium-sized businesses to apply for a business loan through a so-called intermediary organization of the bank. Fraudsters demand additional commissions to settle the issue with the bank's employees, thus guaranteeing the loan approval and further disbursement.
Therefore, Halyk kindly reminds all the customers that the bank neither relies on any intermediaries nor requires any extra fees, except for those provided for by the bank itself on the official website halykbank.kz or in Halyk application. All the required additional fees displayed on the website are charged in non-cash format only from the customer's account. Moreover, Halyk employees never ask you for your bank card details or any other personal information.
If you come across such organizations or any other suspicious activity, you are kindly requested by Halyk to contact the competent law enforcement authorities and the bank's call-center at 7111 for necessary advice.
Halyk also reminds that such fraudulent actions are criminalized under Articles 190 (Fraud), 195 (Property damage through deception or breach of trust) and 247 (Receiving illegal remuneration) with appropriate penalties.
We would like to remind you of some important rules for dealing with fraudsters:
- Do not trust strangers, including those who introduce themselves as the Bank's intermediary and demand your personal information or additional fees from you
- Do not disclose your bank card details
- Do not click on banner links or links contained in emails or messengers
