Acceptance of applications for soft lending to farmers for spring field and harvesting works started

Halyk Bank announces the start of accepting applications for soft lending at a reduced rate to agribusinesses for spring field and harvesting works under Ken Dala program of Agrarian Credit Corporation (ACC). The largest bank of the country is ready to accept applications from farmer entrepreneurs from all over Kazakhstan. As of today, the Bank has received applications from agribusinesses from six regions of the country for the total amount of over KZT38 billion. Other regions are expected to join in the nearest future.

This year, the amount of Halyk Bank soft loans to farmers for spring field and harvesting works under Ken Dala program will almost double. For example, last year 77 entrepreneurs were supported under the program for KZT19.2 billion.

“Thanks to Ken Dala program, national agricultural producers will again have the opportunity to apply for a loan for spring field and harvesting works in 2021 at a very favorable reduced rate. We are grateful to the ACC for accepting offers from market participants and expect additional applications from farmers. This is a great opportunity for farmer entrepreneurs to use low-cost funds for spring field and harvesting works. There are no strict collateral requirements under this program, and farmers are given more flexible terms for repayment of loans, taking into account the annual seasonality. In addition, the approach to the structure of collateral of permanent and proven partners of the bank has been softened as well. I invite our entrepreneurs to apply for soft lending at a reduced rate,” Vadim Kablov, Director of Halyk Bank Medium Business Department, said.

Halyk Bank has been cooperating with Agrarian Credit Corporation since 2018 and notes the constructive role of ACC, where issues of financing are considered promptly and efficiently. This allows the financial institution actively working in the agricultural sector in a number of areas. It is the agricultural industry that provides the nation’s population with food, and that is why the Ken Dala program provides reduced-cost loans to agribusiness entities for spring field and harvesting works.

“Understanding the particular importance of the agrarian sector for economy and food security of our country in conditions of the world markets volatility, the ongoing coronary crisis, in 2021, Halyk Bank will continue providing loans to agricultural sector. After all, the joint support of state agencies, financial sector companies and farmers will painlessly solve the problem of providing the market with domestic agricultural products. On its part, Halyk Bank will continue to provide service support to its partners, including entrepreneurs engaged in agriculture, using a wide network of outlets in all district centers (in some of which, by the way, Halyk Bank is the only bank),” Vadim Kablov concluded.
