5 May 2023, Almaty. The information disseminated in the media that Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) has closed the correspondent account of Halyk Bank for euro transfers has no substance. This correspondent account is operating as usual.
According to international practice, the official website of the bank halykbank.kz contains the details of the main correspondent banks only.
The Bank independently determines the main correspondent banks from the general list depending on the business expediency and commercial conditions for payments.
Halyk Bank cooperates with many international financial institutions. When selecting a correspondent bank, the Bank is primarily guided by the customer's interests and takes into account the currency, the recipient's country, and the payment purpose, thus ensuring maximum convenience for its customers when making international payments.
